Port Republic Artisans announce Summer Art Show

newspaperThe Village Artisans of Port Republic is holding its Summer Art Show July 7-10 in the newly renovated Port Republic Town Hall.

This free show will feature 12 Port Republic residents. Some are well-known artists and some are newly discovered artisans. As in the past, this event will showcase the local artisan’s diverse talents and include everything from fine art and artisan crafts to live music from local musicians.

The Port Republic Museum will be open throughout the show and featuring tools of the past. Port, as it is referred to by locals, is listed in the US National Registry of Historical Places and has a rich and colorful history.

The Village Artisans of Port Republic was formed to promote local talent and give local artists/artisans a venue for their art; allowing them to grow and share their creativity. Their vision is to watch Port Republic become an artistically rich haven in a historically beautiful atmosphere.
