On Point: Vector Industries ready for 45th anniversary

vector 45 finalThis is a very special month for Vector Industries. We are celebrating our 45th anniversary! We’ve all heard the expression “It takes a village to raise a child.” Well, I believe it takes a community to sustain an organization as vital as Vector Industries. At the heart of our community are hundreds of local citizens who believe in our mission and support our organization. These individuals believe that persons with disabilities deserve an opportunity to earn pride, purpose and a paycheck. These individuals are the reason we are still here, 45 years later.

During our month-long celebration of our 45th anniversary, we will pay tribute to a number of agencies, businesses and organizations throughout Augusta County who have supported Vector Industries. But we all know that at the core of these establishments are dedicated, caring and supportive individuals who have made the real contributions to our success. They are the ones who have given our employees a chance to be successful. To them and the greater organizations they represent, we are grateful.

In turn, our community should be grateful to the hundreds and hundreds of employees who, over 45 years, have walked through the Vector doors.  Our skilled workforce has provided a reliable and dependable solution to many area businesses.  Our employees want to work! They enjoy the pride they gain through mastering a skill and delivering a product to the customer. They feel a sense of purpose when we ask them to work overtime for a rush job. And finally, they receive a paycheck.

To the people who support us, THANK YOU. To the wonderful employees who have graced our doors over the years, THANK YOU.  We have reached a major milestone, but each day is a celebration at Vector Industries.
