newspaperDancing Star Farm and Polyface Farm in Augusta County are hosting a workshop on Sunday focusing on permaculture health.

The full day workshop takes a look at permaculture principles in action with a morning tour of Dancing Star Farm followed by lectures in permaculture medicine, fermentation, tincture making demonstration, and a first aid herbal medicine walk at Polyface Farm.  The day will conclude with a meal at Polyface Farm.

The teaching team at Shenandoah Permaculture Institute includes Trevor Piersol of VSDB urban farm, Emilie Tweardy of Shirefolk Farm, Dr. Ted Butchart of Virginia Natural Health, and Ryan Blosser of Dancing Star Farm.  With their collective experiences in farming, ecological design, medicine, and counseling the team creates a unique workshop experience for attendees!

Shenandoah Permaculture Institute is an organization dedicated to teaching and research of permaculture in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.  More information can be found at www.shenandoahpermaculture.com or on Facebook.
