Parking issues for UVa. football fans on Saturday

An event in John Paul Jones Arena on Saturday (Oct. 10) is expected to impact football fans planning to use the venue’s parking lot for the Virginia-Indiana football game that afternoon.

Martha’s Market is scheduled in the arena from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and the football game is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m. Parking at the arena is free on a first-come, first-served basis for individuals attending Martha’s Market and the football game.

Officials estimate the surface lot outside John Paul Jones Arena will be full by 1 p.m. on Saturday, so football fans who normally park in that lot could be impacted for that afternoon’s game. Attendants will be on site to direct patrons of both events to the arena’s parking garage if the surface lot is full.

Mark Warner is starting to get it, that go along to get along isn’t going to work with Trump 2.0, that his predilection for being thought of as a radical centrist is outdated when the other side thinks everybody else is the enemy, and isn’t willing to triangulate.
