Pamplin Park announces schedule changes

Pamplin Historical ParkPamplin Historical Park & The National Museum of the Civil War Soldier has announced the postponement and cancellation of special events scheduled for March and April.

“Due to ongoing concerns about the novel coronavirus, Pamplin Historical Park and the National Museum of the Civil War Soldier is cancelling or postponing all special events until April 15, 2020, based upon the guidance of the CDC regarding social distancing and the elimination of large gatherings,” Executive Director Jerry Desmond said.

The impacted events are as follows:

  • March 21 Breakthrough Trail 5K postponed to Nov. 7
  • March 23 Homeschool Day canceled
  • March 28-29 Breakthrough Battle Anniversary canceled
  • April 2 Breakthrough Walking Tour canceled
  • April 2 Petersburg Civil War Round Table at Pamplin postponed, date TBA
  • April 4 Park Day canceled

The park continues to observe normal 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. operating hours at this time.
