Don’t give up on the O’s (70-73) just yet: the win has them five and a half games out of the second wild-card spot in the American League with 19 games to play.
Gausman (3-6, 4.15 ERA) gave up two hits in six scoreless innings, striking out seven and walking four.
Zach Britton notched his 33rd save with a 1-2-3 ninth.
Adam Jones knocked in both runs for Baltimore.
