Orioles drop second in a row in New York

lgo_mlb_baltimore_oriolesJacob deGrom gave up a run on six hits in seven strong innings, and the New York Mets took an easy 5-1 win over the Baltimore Orioles on Wednesday.

deGrom (3-3) struck out nine and walked one for the Mets, who won their second game in a row over the O’s.

Ubaldo Jimenez (2-2) lasted only four innings, giving up three runs on six hits, walking two and striking out one.

The loss drops Baltimore to 12-13 on the season. The Orioles are three and a half games behind the first-place New York Yankees in the American League East.
