lgo_mlb_baltimore_oriolesBaltimore pounded out a season-high 20 hits, and the Orioles pasted Boston 18-7 on Sunday in Camden Yards.

The O’s knocked out Red Sox starter Wade Miley in the third, touching Miley up for seven runs, six earned, on five hits in two and a third innings. Baltimore led 12-0 through six, and then after Boston put up a four-spot in the seventh to get to 12-4, the Orioles added six insurance runs off Sox reliever Heath Hembree to erase whatever sliver of doubt to the final outcome there may have still been at that point.

Bud Norris (1-2) earned the win, giving up three runs on seven hits in six and two-thirds innings.

Chris Davis had a homer, his fourth of the season, among his three hits. Delmon Young had three hits and five runs batted in.
