Where: 329 W. Main St., Waynesboro, Va
Admission: FREE

WTA’s Gateway will host the seventh round of the Open Mic Talent Night Competition on Thursday, April 3rd at 7:00 pm.  The prize for the winner will be a $50 cash prize and a chance to participate in the final competition in June.  The winner of the June competition will receive a cash prize, a gig at a WTA-produced event, and a professional promotional video created for them by the Augusta Free Press.  WTA’s Gateway is located at 329 West Main Street in downtown Waynesboro.  Don’t miss this opportunity to win.  There are only two more spaces open to qualify for the final round.  One will be determined on April 3rd and the last on Thursday, May 1st.

The competition is open to a full range of performing arts: musical, comedy, poetry, magic, etc. “We have a wealth of musical talent in the area, but we are also blessed with performers who have skills in other genres.  The Talent Night Competition is a place for them as well.” said host, lorie strother.

The lineup is determined by drawing names.  Each act will have 10 minutes on the Gateway stage.   The Open Mic Talent Night audience will select the winning performer or performing group by casting their ballot at the end of the performance.  Everyone who contributes $1 or more gets a ballot and an opportunity to select the evenings winning talent.  Performers are asked to arrive as close to 7 pm as possible to register for one of the ten performance slots.

The Open Mic Talent Night is free although donations are gratefully accepted.  The performance begins at 7 pm at WTA’s Gateway at 329 West Main in downtown Waynesboro.
