One arrested, two suspects sought in Staunton shooting

shootingThe Staunton Police Department has made an arrest in the attempted murder of Rakeem Moats. Jahmaine Faqiri, 24, 224 Tiffany Drive,  Waynesboro has been arrested and charged with the following offenses:

  1. One count of maliciously shooting a firearm.
  2. One count of use of a firearm while attempting to commit malicious bodily injuries.
  3. One count of use of a firearm while attempting to commit murder in the second degree.
  4. One count of attempted murder in the second degree.

In addition, two additional suspects are wanted for their roles in the March 31, 2015 shooting. Jahmaine Faqiri was arrested this morning and Shaquan Shaquielle Wilson and Kathryn Elizabeth Curry are presently at large. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of either fugitive is asked to call the Staunton Police Department at (540) 332-3842.
