Oh-and-three? Baltimore Ravens lose again

ravensA.J. Green hauled in a 7-yard touchdown pass from Andy Dalton with 2:10 to go, lifting the Cincinnati Bengals to a wild 28-24 win over the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.

The loss drops the Ravens to their first 0-3 start in franchise history.

The Bengals (3-0) jumped out to an early 14-0 lead, and had a chance to salt the game in the second quarter with the ball on the doorstep of the goal line. Coach Marvin Lewis decided to go for it on fourth-and-goal from the 2, and a Dalton pass to tight end Tyler Eifert was ruled a touchdown on the field, but Eifert lost the ball on his way to the ground, and the call was reversed after a replay review.

Baltimore finally got on the board in the third on a 50-yard TD pass from Joe Flacco to Steve Smith Sr. A Justin Tucker 21-yard field goal cut the margin to 14-10 early in the fourth, and the Ravens took the lead at 17-14 with 6:49 to go on a C.J. Mosley 41-yard fumble return on a strip sack of Dalton by Elvis Dumervil.

That lead would be short-lived. Dalton connected with Green on an 80-yard catch-and-run TD pass to put Cincinnati back on top, 21-17.

Flacco and Smith hooked up on a 16-yard TD pass with 3:56 to go to put the Ravens up 24-21.

The Bengals responded with a six-play, 80-yard drive that culminated with the TD pass to Green.

Dalton threw for 383 yards and three touchdowns on 20-for-32 passing. Green had 10 catches for 227 yards and two TD catches.

Flacco was 32-for-49 passing for 362 yards and two touchdowns. Smith had 13 catches for 186 yards and two touchdowns.
