Norfolk Police have made an arrest in connection with a shooting last month on Pretty Lake Avenue that left a man dead.

Steven E. Williams Jr., 23, has been charged with second-degree murder in the July 21 shooting death of Norman A. Hollowell Jr., 24, of Norfolk.

According to Norfolk Police, officers were called to a home in the 2100 block of Pretty Lake Avenue for the report of a gunshot victim at 7:20 p.m. on the evening of July 21.

When officers arrived, they found Hollowell suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.

Hollowell was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Norfolk Police arrested Williams on Tuesday, and he is currently being held in Norfolk City Jail without bond.
