Norfolk man found dead after apparent shooting on Sunday night

A Norfolk man was killed on Sunday night after a shooting on the 1600 block of Madison Avenue.

Norfolk Police detectives are investigating the shooting that occurred around 10 p.m. When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound.

The man, James E. Lindsey III, 40, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
