Norfolk man charged with second-degree murder in Sunday shooting

A 44-year-old Norfolk man has been charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of a Chesapeake man.

Keith E. Brumsey Jr., 44, of Norfolk, is currently being held in Norfolk City Jail without bond in connection with the death of James O. Giles Jr., 52, of Chesapeake.

The shooting was reported to Norfolk Police at 10:35 p.m. Sunday.

Brumsey was taken into custody at the scene, according to police.

Detectives have not released a motive or any additional circumstances surrounding this shooting.
