Jordan Zimmerman was good. Williams Perez was just a little better. Perez gave up six hits in six scoreless innings to pitch Atlanta to a 2-0 win over the Washington Nationals on Wednesday.
Perez (7-6, 4.76 ERA) struck out three and walked three in the win.
Zimmerman (13-10, 3.66 ERA), in what may have been his last start as a Nat, gave up two runs on six hits in six innings, striking out one and walking one.
Washington (80-78) has lost seven of its last nine games.
