Elon Musk adding new Tesla location in Charlottesville: You know what you need to do

Locals looking for a convenient way to tell Elon Musk to go f–k himself will, apparently soon, have a Tesla location in Charlottesville for that.

The Shops at Stonefield announced on its Facebook page last week that a new Tesla location “is coming.”

The comments on the post are priceless:

  • “We don’t support Nazis here. Anything associated with Musk is not welcome. Y’all should have read the room before you signed them up.”
  • “Good people will never support, respect, or buy anything from anyone who publicly does the ‘Heil Hitler’ salute.”
  • “When the CEO of that company does a sieg heil on TV, then his right-hand man gets caught making racist comments, oops, I meant edgy jokes online, the company might have an image problem.”
  • “Given the current political environment and your demographic, who on your team thought this was a good idea? I mean seriously. If you hired an outside marketing team, they should be fired tomorrow.”
  • “I thought this was a joke! Why are you supporting a Nazi? Let’s see how your other tenants feel about this.”
  • “Wow, The Shops at Stonefield, you’re making a terrible decision here. I guess we won’t be shopping at any of your stores once it opens.”
  • “Won’t be shopping at this shopping center again.”
  • “You have to be kidding!! That’s reason enough for me to stop shopping at Stonefield!!”
  • “Great timing. Let’s boycott it now!”
  • “Guess The Shops at Stonefield did Nazi this response coming.”

This is probably a good place to note that the bulk of Musk’s paper wealth is tied up in his shares of Tesla and SpaceX.

This Musk, you may recall, is a guy who has admitted that he is “cash poor.”

Translation: it ain’t real money.

As Tesla sales tank, the share value is plummeting – Tesla shares are down 29.9 percent from their six-month high – and his venture into running Twitter into the ground proceeds apace (it’s lost three-quarters of its $44 billion value since he bought it in 2022), Musk has decided that his best way out of being cash poor is with more government contracts for SpaceX, which already gets billions from our taxpayer dollars annually, without oversight.

I mention that in case you were wondering why Musk is using this DOGE thing to cut spending for everybody else.

And now Donald Trump is letting him ravage the government to find loose change that he can use to re-line his pockets.

I don’t get the feeling that Musk is going to sell all that many Teslas at that new Charlottesville location.
