Murphy powers Nationals to win over Phillies

washington nationalsDaniel Murphy had three hits and three RBI to pace the Washington Nationals to a 4-3 win at Philadelphia on Monday.

Tanner Roark (4-4, 2.70 ERA) got the win, giving up two runs on four hits in seven innings, striking out four and walking two.

Jonathan Papelbon gave up a run in the ninth, but got the final out to record his 14th save.

Murphy hit his eighth homer of the season in the fourth, and his 3-for-4 night has him hitting .395 on the season for the Nats (31-21).
