Morgan Griffith applauds $600,000 brownfields grant for sites in Alleghany County, Covington

Letters

morgan griffithThe EPA has awarded $600,000 to the Alleghany Highlands Economic Development Corporation as part of its Brownfields Program.

Ninth District Congressman Morgan Griffith comments:

“Cleaning up brownfields can turn them into economic assets for a community. This $600,000 grant will help sites in the Towns of Clifton Forge and Iron Gate, Alleghany County, and the City of Covington do just that by providing funds for assessing them and planning their recovery. It offers a valuable lift for environmental restoration, job creation, and economic development in our area.”
