A 21-year-old Harrisonburg man who had been reported missing last week was found dead in a commercial parking lot in Verona on Sunday.

Brandon Kelly Reedy had been reported missing on June 10.

A 2009 green Honda that was believed to be linked to Reedy was located in the parking lot at 208 Laurel Hill Road, just off Interstate 81, at 3:58 p.m. Sunday, according to a report from the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies discovered an unresponsive male in the vehicle, and responding members of the Staunton Augusta Rescue Squad pronounced the young man dead at 4:19 p.m.

The investigation into what happened leading to Reedy’s death is ongoing.

Anyone with information is requested to contact Investigator Connor Tobin with the Augusta County Sheriff’s Office at (540) 245-5333.
