The Paramount Theater is excited to welcome back the Miss Virginia USA® and Miss Virginia Teen USA® 2016 Pageant to The Paramount stage. This event is the state pageant for the nationally televised Miss USA® and Miss Teen USA®.
On Saturday, October 10, the preliminary round, including all contestants, starts at 8PM. The Finals, consisting of the top 12, will take place Sunday, October 11 at 6PM.

Kim Nicewonder, former Miss Virginia USA® 1989 has been director of the pageant for 22 years. She is the President of KPJ Productions, Inc which is the production company that holds a licensee under the Miss Universe® Organization. WME/IMG are the new owners and producers of the Miss Universe® Organization. Miss Universe® is an international organization that advances and supports opportunities for women. Miss Universe® is distributed in more than 190 countries worldwide and seen by more than half a billion people annually. The Miss Virginia USA® will go on to compete in the nationally televised Miss USA® in early June 2016. Miss Virginia USA® wins generous scholarship opportunities to various colleges such as, Emory & Henry College, King University, Lindenwood University, UVA Wise, and New York Film Academy. Also the use of a brand new Mercedes Benz during her reign given by Rick Hill Imports in Kingsport, TN. Along with these fabulous prizes are trips, jewelry, fashion apparel and many other things.
Miss Virginia Teen USA® will go on to compete for the Miss Teen USA® pageant in the summer of 2016. For the past 5 years Miss Teen USA® has been at The Atlantis in the Bahamas. Miss Virginia Teen USA® wins scholarships along with a fabulous prize package as well.
Miss Virginia USA®2015, Laura Puleo, a law graduate from Washington & Lee University placed in the Top 15 at this year’s MISS USA®. The Miss Virginia USA® and Miss Virginia Teen USA® offer incredible opportunities for each young lady competing and every titleholder, including over $500,000.00 in scholarships. The experience that the titleholders have during their year open up so many wonderful opportunities to build a secure stepping stone for a successful career. The state pageant in October at The Paramount Theater will consist of a Preliminary show and Final Show. On October 10 all contestants in both Miss and Teen Virginia compete in swimsuit and evening gown for the Preliminary night on October 10. The final show will take place onOctober 11 starting off with an exciting opening production number with a “Greek Goddess” theme consisting of all Miss and Teen contestants, announcement of top 12 in Miss and Teen, swimsuit and evening gown competition, and the announcement of top 5 with the Top 5 Question.
The new Miss Virginia USA® and Miss Virginia Teen USA® 2016 will be crowned.
