Congressman A. Donald McEachin (VA-04) announced a Health and Humans Services (HHS) grant awarded to VCU for the study of the drug ethanol in C.Elegans, a primitive organism that shares man of the characteristics that are problems in human biology.
“Every day I learn more about the cutting-edge research performed at VCU,” said Congressman Donald McEachin. “I am very pleased to see their outstanding efforts rewarded by HHS so they can continue to make life-saving discoveries.”
This $349,297 grant was awarded by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism.
