McEachin announces $1.3 million for Chesterfield County Head Start

Donald McEachinCongressman A. Donald McEachin (VA-04) announced that Chesterfield County Public Schools received a grant award of $1,389,182 to support their Head Start programs, an early childhood education program for underprivileged preschoolers.

“These are very important funds coming into our district to address constituent needs,” said Congressman Donald McEachin (VA-04). “Access to preschool education has proven to be a strong indicator of future success in learning at school. Monies for Head Start helps ensure more children have access to a valuable preschool experience.”

The Office of Head Start, housed under the Administration for Children and Families, awarded this grant.
