Massanutten Resort to open ski area this weekend

Massanutten Resort has announced that they will open its ski area this Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 30-Dec. 1. Skiing and Snowboarding will be available both days from 9am-4:30pm. Tubing will be available Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9am-5pm.

massanutten“This is the first time ever in our history that we have been able to open our ski area in November,” said Kenny Hess, Massanutten’s ski area director.  “We are hoping this is a great sign of an exciting ski season ahead.”

Massanutten is hoping to have the following slopes open for the weekend: Nutten-To-It, Southern Comfort, Lower Showtime and Diamond Jim, with the possibility of even a couple of more trails added after snowmaking resumes later in the week.

The ski area will then close Monday-Thursday with the seven-day ski season officially starting on Friday, Dec. 6.  Night skiing will begin on Dec. 13.

Massanutten will also keep two out of three of its zip line experiences open all winter: The Mega Zip Dual Racer and the Kids Adventure Course.

Season Passes:
Ski season passes are still available for 10% off through December 2nd (excludes special value pass). Passes may be purchased by stopping in the ski office or by calling 540.289.4954.

Ice Rink:
The Ice Rink at LeClub has also officially opened for the season!

Sunday & Monday  |  1:30 – 8:30 pm
Tuesday – Friday  |  3:30 – 8:30 pm
Saturday & Holidays*  |  9:00 am – 9:30 pm
