The Nationals rallied from an early 3-1 deficit with an offensive explosion in the middle and late innings to dispatch the Braves, 13-4.

A night after coming back from a 9-1 deficit to win 13-12 on a Dan Uggla three-run homer in the ninth, Washington took control a little earlier, getting four in the fourth, the big blow a three-run single by starting pitcher Jordan Zimmerman, to take a 5-3 lead into the middle innings.

A two-run Danny Espinoza single in the seventh broke the game open, giving the Nats a 9-4 lead. The Nationals added four insurance runs in the ninth on an Uggla RBI single and a Denard Span three-run homer.

Zimmerman (2-2) earned the win, giving up four runs, three earned, on eight hits in seven innings, striking out seven and walking one.
