A Loudoun County elementary-school teacher is in custody on a solicitation of a minor charge.

Antonio G. Ford, 28, of Leesburg, was arrested on Wednesday at Lovettsville Elementary School, where he is employed as a teacher.

Ford was transported to the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center, where he is being held without bond, according to a release from the Leesburg Police Department.

The PD reports that it was contacted in March by authorities in Florida regarding an investigation into a solicitation of a minor through electronic communication.

The authorities in Florida advised that the suspect was believed to reside in Leesburg, prompting authorities there to launch an investigation that led police to identify Ford as their suspect.

This remains an active and ongoing investigation, and anyone with additional information related to this case is encouraged to contact the Leesburg Police Department at 703-771-4500 or [email protected].
