college world seriesAugusta Free Press editor Chris Graham will lead a live blog during Game 3 of the 2014 College World Series between UVA (53-15) and Vanderbilt (50-21).

First pitch is at 8 p.m. Eastern.

The best-of-three series is tied at one game apiece.

ESPN will air the national championship game, while the broadcast also will be streamed online via the WatchESPN app. WINA 1070-AM and WINA.com will carry the live radio broadcast, as will several stations along the VirginiaSports Radio Network. Check your local listings for availability.

SiriusXM Channel 91 will air the national Westwood One broadcast on satellite radio.

Live statistics (GameTracker) also will be located on VirginiaSports.com. The live stats also can be accessed through the Virginia Sports app, which is available through iTunes.

Game 1

Vanderbilt scored nine runs in a third-inning nightmare for UVA ace Nathan Kirby, and held off a game-long Virginia rally to post a 9-8 win in Game 1 of the College World Series.

Game 2

After a rough start from ace Nathan Kirby in a 9-8 Game 1 loss to Vanderbilt, UVA needed Brandon Waddell to go deep in Game 2 to keep the ‘Hoos hopes for the program’s first national title alive.

Waddell gave Virginia more than anyone could have expected.

The sophomore lefty pitched a complete-game five-hitter, and UVA (53-15) jumped on Vandy pitching for a second straight night, keying a 7-2 win that forces a deciding Game 3 Wednesday night.
