Liberty, out of the running in CUSA, to face Buffalo in the Bahamas Bowl

LibertyLiberty, which fell out of the running for the Conference USA championship with its loss last week to Sam Houston, will face Buffalo in the Bahamas Bowl.

Not a bad consolation.

The Jan. 4 game will be televised on ESPN2 from Thomas A. Robinson National Stadium in Nassau, Bahamas. Kickoff for the game is set for 11 a.m. ET.

Liberty (8-3, 5-3 CUSA) entered the 2024 season with longshot CFP aspirations, which ended with an inexplicable mid-October loss to then-winless Kennesaw State, which finished with a 2-10 record.

Buffalo (8-4, 6-2 MAC) finished third in the MAC in 2024.
