As we launch into National Parks Week, I just wanted to show my appreciation for these indispensable pieces of green space. For me these parks are a treasure trove of activities that take me outside of my everyday, urban life and reconnect me to the environment and surrounding world. They somehow simultaneously make one feel both like a small integrated piece of this natural world and a guardian of it. Some of my fondest memories are running along the Potomac and camping in the Shenandoahs and I hope that through protecting our parks I, and people like me, will make many more. Thank you for all those who preserve our green spaces and it is my hope that Senator Kaine will continue to serve as a champion for Virginia’s natural places and our parks nationwide.
I’m still hoping to get an interview lined up with former AEW and WWE world champ Chris Jericho, who will be in Waynesboro on May 9 for a concert with his band, Fozzy, at The Foundry.
