Lane closures at Interstate 81, Exit 257, in Rockingham County, Jan. 6-27

i81-headerThe Virginia Department of Transportation has scheduled soil-testing work in the area of Interstate 81, Exit 257 (Mauzy/Broadway/Timberville) in Rockingham County from Jan. 6-27, 2015.

This is expected to result in the following temporary single-lane closures:

  • Interstate 81, Northbound and southbound, mile marker 257.6 to 258.2: Overnight from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. No work on Friday through Sunday nights.
  • Route 11 (Valley Pike) from Route 259 to Route 608: Daytime from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Route 259 (Mayland Road) from Route 11 to 0.1-mile north of intersection: Daytime from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Route 608 (Mauzy Athlone Road) from Route 11 to 0.1-mile south of intersection: Daytime from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

All work is weather permitting.
