Kat’s Meow: Waters looks forward to match with Love

Chris Graham

You’ve known her as Katie Lea Burchill. You’ve known her as Winter. Now content with Kat, the German-born and -raised Katarina Waters is gearing up for something she’s never done before in wrestling – a one-on-one match with former tag-team partner Angelina Love.

“I greatly admire her talents. I think it’s going to be a pretty awesome experience to finally get to step in the ring with her,” said Waters, who as Winter won the TNA Knockouts tag-team title with Love in 2010.

Kat and Love will tangle at New Year’s Chaos, Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at the Virginia Horse Center in Lexington, Va.

The two were also involved in a year-long storyline that seemed to be headed toward a payoff singles match that never materialized.

“A lot of people like to ask me, Who would you like to wrestle that you haven’t wrestled? She’s always on the list. So it’s going to be pretty cool,” Waters said.
