LGBTQ rights advocate Judy Shepard will join Sixth District Democratic Party congressional nominee Jennifer Lewis for a fundraising event on Thursday, Sept. 13.
The event will be held at Mill Street Grill in Downtown Staunton from 6-8 p.m.
Shepard has been a champion in the fight against bigotry and inequality. This year marks the 20th year since her son, Matthew Shepard, was fatally tortured near Laramie, Wyo.
