Judged trail ride this weekend

ride with pride horseThere will be a Judged Trail Ride on Saturday Oct. 12, at the Cottage Hill and Bellevue Farms in Swoope on 135 Cattleman Road.

There will be a five mile course with ten obstacles where riders and their horses can enjoy the beautiful countryside, streams, fields, and woods.  The first horse goes out at 9am and the last horse goes out at 12pm.  Riders and their horses can test their skills through a variety of 10 basic obstacles.

There is a $25 entry fee which also includes lunch.  There will be a raffle and a chili cook-off.  Raffle tickets are now available and will also be available at the event.  There will be a vote for the best volunteer cook in the chili cook-off.

All funds will go towards Ride With Pride in Staunton which offers therapeutic horsemanship programs for children and adults with special needs.
