JMU alum Phil Vassar to perform at Wilson Hall

jamesmadisonlogopurplepcDubbed “one of the country’s most appealing voices” by The New York Times, Phil Vassar returns to JMU for two performances at Wilson Hall. Vassar will perform with his band on Thursday, October 3 and Friday, October 4 at 8 p.m. The performance is presented by the Forbes Center for the Performing Arts at James Madison University.

A native of Lynchburg, Virginia, Vassar attended JMU on a track scholarship before making his name as a chart-topping songwriter and hit-making artist. He is one of Nashville’s most prolific and versatile stars, landing six No. 1 hits for country artists including Alan Jackson, Tim McGraw, Jo Dee Messina and Collin Raye.
