The Jim Webb exploratory presidential team added a new member on Friday with the tapping of veteran journalist Craig Crawford to head up communications for the campaign.
Webb announced the hiring on Twitter.

Crawford has most recently been a commentator for MSNBC and a columnist at Cpngressional Quarterly. He also served as editor of National Journal’s Hotline and was the Washington bureau chief for the Orlando Sentinel.
Webb, a one-term former U.S. senator, represented Virginia in the Senate from 2007 to 2013. The former Secretary of the Navy, journalist and author and Vietnam veteran announced his plans to explore a run for the 2016 Democratic Party presidential nomination in November.
