Interstate 81 lane closures in Rockbridge County: Sept. 22-24

i81-headerThe Virginia Department of Transportation has scheduled overnight lane closures next week for pavement work on northbound Interstate 81 in Rockbridge County. The work takes place at various locations in the Lexington area, weather permitting.

The northbound right lane between mile marker 193.8 and 194.8 will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday nights, September 22 and 23, from 6 p.m. until 9 a.m. the following mornings.

In addition, the northbound right lane will be closed near mile marker 187 on the night of Wednesday, September 23, from 6 p.m. until 9 a.m. the following morning.

The VDOT Staunton District serves Frederick, Shenandoah, Clarke, Warren, Page, Rockingham, Augusta, Highland, Rockbridge, Alleghany and Bath counties.
