Interstate 81 Exit 205 off ramp in Rockbridge County closed May 8-9

interstate 81The Virginia Department of Transportation will close the Interstate 81 Exit 205 (Raphine/Steeles Tavern) northbound off-ramp in Rockbridge County from 10 p.m. Sunday, May 8, through 8 a.m. Monday, May 9, for milling and paving.

Variable message boards will be posted along northbound I-81 beginning April 29 alerting motorists of the closure and directing them to use alternate exits.

All work is weather permitting.

The VDOT Staunton District serves Frederick, Shenandoah, Clarke, Warren, Page, Rockingham, Augusta, Highland, Rockbridge, Alleghany and Bath counties.

For other assistance call the VDOT Customer Service Center, available 24 hours-a-day, seven days a week.
