Interstate 64 westbound rest area in Ivy closed Thursday

interstate 64The Charlottesville Safety Rest Area on Interstate 64 west at mile marker 113 (Ivy) in Albemarle County will be temporarily closed while crews make necessary repairs to guardrail, which was damaged as a result of a Feb. 9 tractor-trailer crash at the rest area entrance.

The rest area, including access to parking, restrooms, vending machines and picnic areas will be closed on Feb. 25 from 8 a.m.to 3 p.m.

Travelers may use the Goochland Safety Rest Area on I-64 west, which is located at mile marker 168. On the eastbound side of I-64, the Charlottesville Safety Rest Area at mile marker 105 will remain accessible.
