UVA football fans know that Greyson Lambert just set an NCAA passing record at Georgia. So one former starting quarterback is obviously doing well. How about another, David Watford, who transferred to FCS Hampton?
Watford is putting up decent numbers at Hampton. Through three games, Watford is 61-for-106 passing (57.5 percent) for 853 yards, nine touchdowns, five interceptions and a 143.7 passer rating.
Watford, a senior, has also run 20 times for 96 yards and two touchdowns for the Pirates (2-1).
In his one season as a starter at Virginia, in 2013, Watford is 244-for-427 passing (57.1 percent) for 2,202 yards, eight touchdowns, 15 interceptions, and a 99.6 passer rating.
