Health Beat: Upcoming events at Augusta Health

augusta-health-headerMay 27: The annual free Skin Cancer Screening at Augusta Health Cancer Center.  Providers from both Augusta Health Dermatology and Blue Ridge Dermatology participate collaboratively.  This is a full body screen under the policies of the ADA.  Appointments are required (332.4190).  Screening begins at 5:30 pm.  May is Skin Cancer Awareness Month.

May 28: This month’s Lunch and Learn (noon, Augusta Community Care Building) will feature Mary Mannix giving an Augusta Health update.

June 1: National Cancer Survivor Day. Augusta Health willbe celebrating with our survivors and providers from 2-4 pm in the Augusta Community Care Building.  There are physician and survivor speakers, entertainment and refreshments.  In addition to local speakers, Dr. Annie Nedrow of Duke Medicine will talk about Integrative Medicine—Treating the Whole Person.
