Greater Augusta Regional Chamber of Commerce plans annual Business Showcase

Contributors

augusta-chamber-headerThe Greater Augusta Regional Chamber of Commerce has added technology to its annual Business Showcase, and with the second Thursday of the month falling on Valentine’s Day, the Chamber decided to seek out the state’s official  L-O-V-E display as an additional attraction to the day of activities.

One thing can be said about the 16-foot wide, 8-foot tall artwork that spells out the word “LOVE” in giant letters – it makes a big impression, and is a great tourist attraction for our area.

“It amazes the state tourism officials whenever the letters travel to see how much people love it,” says Jason Dunham, whose marketing company is managing the giant letters for the Virginia Tourism Corporation.

The amorous artwork will be installed the Wednesday afternoon before the Business and Technology Showcase and formally unveiled the morning of Feb. 14 at The Best Western Plus Waynesboro Inn & Suites Conference Center.

The Chamber’s event will be showcasing the products and services of area Chamber businesses and is free and open to the public from 3-6 p.m., preceding the Business After Hours from 5:30- 8 p.m.

Fifty-plus businesses will be participating in this event, and members of the community will have an opportunity to speak to each of them regarding their products, services and latest technologies.
