Grand opening for Albemarle Tourism and Adventure Center and Crozet Artisan Depot

Contributors

newspaperThe community is invited to join in the celebration on Friday, October 9th from 2-6 p.m., as the new Albemarle Tourism and Adventure Center and Crozet Artisan Depot will host a grand opening extravaganza.

Kicking off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and press conference, the grand opening festivities will include local artisan exhibits, live music, and art activities for children, compliments of Torn Paper Collage of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Chiles Peach Orchard will provide apple cider donuts, and Generations 102.3 FM will broadcast live from the event.

Starr Hill Brewery will join in the celebration by providing a discount all day on pint beers, at their tasting room located just down the road. Following the opening celebration will be an after-party with the Artisans, concluding at 8 p.m.

The historic Crozet Train Depot in Downtown Crozet, which until recently was home to the town’s library, has become the location of a second visitor center for the CACVB and the hub for a consortium of Crozet artisans.

The partners strategically chose the date of October 9th for the official opening of the Albemarle Tourism and Adventure Center and Crozet Artisan Depot, as it falls during American Craft Week, Virginia Wine Month, and is on the eve of the very popular Crozet Arts & Craft Festival and Starr Hill’s Oktoberfest celebration.
