Schola Cantorum of Waynesboro presents “Gloria,” a special Christmas Concert on Sunday, Dec. 15, at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Waynesboro.

A free-will offering will be taken, but an admission charge is not necessary.

Featured selections by the 50-voice choir will include Vivaldi’s “Gloria in D Major,” Morten Laurisen’s haunting “O Magnum Mysterium,” and Handel’s “Hallelujah Chorus from Messiah.”

Artistic Director Adam C. Phillips will also lead the group in traditional carols, including “O Come Emmanuel,” “O Come All Ye Faithful” and “Angels We Have Heard On High.”

Schola Cantorum (school for singers) was formed in Waynesboro in 1996 to give accomplished choral singers an opportunity to perform great works of the master composers.

First Baptist Church is at 301 South Wayne Avenue, Waynesboro.
