The First Night Harrisonburg Board presents Glick & Phillips with guest John-Robert Rimel at a special fundraising event at Court Square Theater on Saturday at 7:30pm. Proceeds from the fundraiser will go towards First Night activities which hope to bring local musicians and performers to downtown Harrisonburg on New Years Eve.
Glick & Phillips have been entertaining audiences in the Valley with their mixture of divine duet harmonies and sarcastic song lyrics for over 30 years. Their music is reminiscent of the great Homer & Jethro with a bit of political satire and social commentary added for spice. Fans can look forward to hearing what new toes the duo will tread on as they unveil their latest original work or parody roasting whichever public figure has caught their eye recently. No stone is upturned as they consider themselves equal opportunity offenders.
Opening for Glick & Phillips is John-Robert Rimel. John-Robert is a rising singer from the Shenandoah Valley who has gained national and world attention. He has been a two time guest on the highly acclaimed Ellen DeGeneres show and he had the privilege of spending time in Los Angeles, California writing, recording and working closely with those in the music industry. John-Robert is blessed to be doing what he loves performing.
