Giants blast Strasburg, Nats, 7-1

stephen strasburgStephen Strasburg didn’t get out of the fifth inning in a 7-1 Washington Nationals loss to San Francisco Saturday at Nationals Park.

Strasburg (15-2, 2.80 ERA, 1.01 WHIP) struggled all night, and was done after four and two-thirds innings, giving up four runs on eight hits, striking out eight and walking one.

Matt Cain (4-6, 5.16 ERA, 1.51 WHIP) got the win for the Giants, giving up five hits in five scoreless innings, striking out four and walking three.

Wilson Ramos (.337/.385/.547, 17 HR, 61 RBI) had three of the Nats’ eight hits on the night.

Washington (65-45) has a six and a half game lead on Miami (58-51), which was losing 12-3 in the eighth at Colorado at press time.
