George Mason basketball coach Tony Skinn announced Monday that Andy Fox will join his staff as an assistant coach.

Fox was most recently on the staff at Army, where he worked for one year after five years at Vanderbilt, where he was the director of scouting (2019-2021), general manager (2021-2022) and associate head coach (2022-2024).

His tie to Skinn was their time together on the staff of former Mason assistant Erik Konkol at Louisiana Tech, where they worked together from 2015-2018.

“Andy is a talented, experienced coach,” Skinn said. “He has a great basketball mind and he’s been a director of basketball operations, an assistant coach and a general manager at the highest levels. That versatility brings a unique skill set to our staff. In this landscape, Andy can do so many different things and he will provide an extremely valuable perspective as we look to continue moving our program in an upward direction.”
