  • Shortstop Jacob Jaye saw his run of reaching base end at 23 straight games Sunday. His hitting streak had been stopped at 15 straight contests the day before.
  • Collin Fleischer hit three home runs in the Furman series to give him 14 on the year, and tie him for third on VMI’s all-time single season listing.
  • Jack Gomersall made his 30th appearance of the year Sunday, becoming just the second Keydet pitcher ever to hit that plateau in a single season.
  • Regardless of the final weekend’s outcomes, VMI and The Citadel will face off in the SoCon Tourney’s play-in game on May 24 at 10 a.m. Samford, however, could reach as high as fourth or drop as low as seventh depending on what happens in this series.
