Probable Starting Pitchers

WCU LHP Brendan Nail vs. VMI RHP Matthew Eagle
WCU LHP Bryan Sammons vs. VMI LHP Brandon Barbery
WCU LHP Tristan Baker vs. VMI RHP Josh Winder

Notes

This is Western Carolina’s first visit to Gray-Minor Stadium and its first trip to Lexington since 2001. WCU won two of three in that series.

The Keydets used an unorthodox lineup in their 8-7 win over Radford Tuesday. Will Malbon led off for the first time this season, Nathan Eaton hit second for the first time and Peyton Maddox DH’d. Ryan Smoot was the starting catcher.

VMI’s win over Radford Tuesday broke the Keydets’ nine-game skid on the road.

Next Time Out

The Keydets return to action Tuesday, when they travel to James Madison to face the Dukes. First pitch is set for 6 p.m.
