Game Notes: VMI faces Radford on Tuesday

vmiVMI baseball will return to action Tuesday, when the Keydets travel to Radford to face former Big South foe Radford. First pitch is set for 5 p.m., which is a change from the originally scheduled 6 p.m. time due to expected cold weather Tuesday evening.

Probable Starting Pitchers

VMI RHP Jack Gomersall vs. RU LHP Tyler Swarmer

 

Notes

This will be the first start of Jack Gomersall’s collegiate career. Gomersall pitched in both of the games against Radford last year, throwing 2 2/3 innings of scoreless relief, and he comes off the longest outing of his career – four innings Friday against UNCG.

Radford has won five of the last seven games between these teams at its home facility.

VMI returns to action Friday when the team opens a three-game series at home against Western Carolina. First pitch is set for 6 p.m.
