Notes

  • This is the second meeting this year between VMI and VCU - VCU won the first, 11-7, in Lexington on March 15.
  • Shortstop Jacob Jaye extended his hitting streak to a career-high nine straight games with hits in each game of this past weekend’s Wofford series.
  • The Keydets will want to keep VCU in the ballpark Tuesday, as when VMI doesn’t allow a home run, the Keydets are 8-6 on the year.
  • Third baseman David Geary missed the series finale against Wofford due to a lower body injury, ending a string of 91 consecutive games played.

Next Time Out

Following this game, the Keydets are next in action Friday as they open a crucial three-game SoCon set against ETSU in Johnson City, Tenn.
