Game Notes: #13 Virginia hosts #8 Miami Tuesday in ACC hoops

  • Virginia meets Miami in the first of two meetings between the teams in 2015-16.
  • UVA looks to avoid its first three-game losing streak since Jan. 8-19, 2011.

Last Time vs. Miami

  • London Perrantes had a career-high 26 points and eight assists to send Virginia to a thrilling 89-80 double-overtime win at Miami on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015.
  • Justin Anderson added 16 points, including the game-tying 3-pointer at the end of the first overtime, as UVA improved to 7-0 in its last seven ACC openers.
  • Mike Tobey added 14 points and Marial Shayok added nine points.
  • Darion Atkins continued his strong play off the bench with 12 rebounds, but UVA was out-rebounded 43-39.
  • The Cavaliers led 38-20 at the half, but Miami stormed back behind Angel Rodriguez who finished with a team-high 25 points and seven assists.

 

Last Time Out

  • Adam Smith, Nick Jacobs and Quinton Stephens tallied 16 points apiece to lead Georgia Tech to a 68-64 win over Virginia on Jan. 9.
  • Malcolm Brogdon led UVA with 19 points and London Perrantes added 13 points and Anthony Gill had 11.
